Living with, and managing a chronical disease: A patient’s story

Our Fresenius Kabi colleague Nathalie Oliveira shares her inspiring story as a patient living with a chronic illness. It is a long-term disease with chronic pain that not only affects Nathalie's daily life but also her professional life. She had to stop being a transplant surgeon and has now worked for over 20 years in the pharmaceuticals industry. While pursuing the right treatment for her case, Nathalie also built her own support system and established habits that eased her symptoms in daily life.

Despite her illness she is truly unstoppable and gives courage to other affected people: "Having a chronic disease should not stop you in your journey in life."
