Jumpstart Clinical Nutrition Program 2024: Nurturing and Connecting Rising Stars in Clinical Nutrition

Applications for the next cohort are now open

April 25, 2024

Advancing patient care for chronically and critically ill people is at the heart of everything we do. To further this goal, we actively support clinical research, as well as the education and mentorship of healthcare professionals. With great enthusiasm, we are continuing our commitment with a new wave of JUMPstart Clinical Nutrition — a program designed to educate and support clinicians and researchers, fostering an international network dedicated to enhancing patients’ nutritional care.

JUMPstart Clinical Nutrition serves as a mentorship program for clinicians and researchers at the beginning of their career specializing in nutrition and research within critical care and major abdominal surgery.

We are thrilled to announce that applications for the next JUMPstart Clinical Nutrition cohort will open on April 26, with the deadline set for July 31.

Why should you apply or share the opportunity with a colleague?

As with previous cohorts, the 20 clinicians and researchers will be selected by our Scientific Committee, and will:

  • Explore the importance of clinical nutrition research in the field of intensive care and major abdominal surgery, and the impact of nutrition for the patients, with like-minded, engaged and passionate peers.
  • Be mentored by and learn from the Scientific Committee, a team of 5 world-leader experts, in a small classroom setting.
  • Undertake a comprehensive learning course, providing with the knowledge and skills to create a robust research proposal with support from the experts.
  • Join a growing and invaluable international network of ‘JUMPstarters’ to support you throughout your career in clinical nutrition.
  • Have the chance to win a €250,000 research grant to see your research idea come to life.
