A Cup of Coffee with Luke

In the daily rhythm of Luke Richmond, a cup of coffee always lays the foundation. “On some days, a homebrew is my first choice, while on others I take my kids to a café. I always get a cup for my wife as well.” Fueled and ready to go, Luke heads into a workday that is defined by his passion and the team spirit of the Enteral Nutrition team at Fresenius Kabi Australia.

As Associate Product Manager, Luke’s work is dynamic and filled with a variety of interesting tasks. Collaborating with teammate Natalie Victor, Luke oversees comprehensive responsibilities, including marketing, distribution, and the eagerly awaited launch of the plant-based Fresubin range in Australia. “We are thrilled about this product, because we see that it fits the needs of a lot of patients,” Luke explains.

Talking to Luke, the enthusiasm for his job and his team is palpable. “We all feel aligned with our purpose. As a tight-knit team, we work hard to support patients and caregivers. Being dietitians ourselves, we know about the impact of nutrition on patients’ lives.”

Even before his time at Fresenius Kabi, Luke was driven by a purpose. “I have a background in public health and worked in the Northern Territories, supporting indigenous communities. I also worked with refugees and asylum seekers in Southeast Asia. After these engagements, I looked for new ways to use my dietitian skills and landed at Fresenius Kabi,” he recounts. Here is where he found a like-minded team. “For us it's not just about products and markets; it's about fostering  purpose in every aspect of our work.”
